Birds of a Feather is a collection site for the 1 million pillowcase challenge. To date, our customers have donated 139 pillowcases for distribution to local agencies. We still need more! Free patterns are available at the All People Quilt website link here. Make a pillowcase and bring it in, or Call Elizabeth and set a time to sew in the store with your friends. Our store goal is 240 pillowcases . . . only 10 per month.
Birds of a Feather is now located at 36500 Detroit, less than one-half mile east of our current location, same side of the road. We are in the same facility as Botson Insurance and George Berki, Chiropractor. We are excited to have everything on one floor so no one has to miss our great yarns due to steps. And we have windows, which means improved lighting for all! (And no metal plates across the driveway!!!!) Construction on Detroit Road is now complete.

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month to knit a pair of socks. This is going to be fun!! Eija will select a pattern, or yarn for the group to work with and provide tips to help you complete your socks successfully. This is not learn to knit socks 101...you must be able to knit socks before you sign up. You will be introduced to a variety of sock knitting methods…magic loop, toe up and two at a time, but you are always welcome to knit whichever method you prefer. Patterns may include cables, lace, or beads. And for sure….there will be a mystery sock! And a state sock…..you will receive without charge the “official” state of Ohio pattern, and a second state of your choice.
